The funny thing is, I started this group because of a conversation over beer that a few of us had, in relation to a few questions i’ve posted on the discussion board.
Since then, well, in the last month or so that this group’s being up, only some 10 people have contributed to the discussions, although there are 73 members in the group…
So I’ve started wondering, why is it that people love to talk about these issues and subjects, in person, yet most people have trouble actually writing them down on this group’s discussion…
I’ve talked to people about this phenomenon, and most people tell me that they are meaning to write down their thought, but they just haven’t gotten around to it…
Others, well, the other reason for not writing down anything is “can’t be bothered”. Is it really such a task to share your thoughts?
We live in a world today where everything is shared. Look at social networking sites, such as Facebook, MySpace, et al. Photo sharing sites, like Flickr. Social bookmarking sites like Digg. Even blogs, online diaries. In today’s world, your life is online. Everyone of our generation is putting their lives on the web.
Which brings of back to my original question… People love to share their thoughts, in person, but on their own, writing them down on paper or the net, in whatever medium, is a different ballgame.
Why?
Share your thoughts…
