Introducing The Existential Questions Forum!

We’ve just set up a forum outside of Facebook for Existential discussions. The forum can be found at http://existentialquestions.hyperboards.com.

We’ve been working on getting a forum set up for two main reasons:
Not everyone user Facebook, and many people would wish for anonymity when answering some of the more heated questions, something which the Facebook group doesn’t allow for.

Abortion, Creation vs Evolution, Religion. All heated issues. To allow for everyone to share their opinions anonymously, you don’t have to register with the forum to reply. There are some benefits to registering, which we’ll get to when the new forum smell has left us… Even if you do register, you can still protect your identity, if you wish, by setting the privacy settings to hide all your information.

So head on over to the Existential Questions Forum, have a read through the questions and be the first one to leave a reply!

Don’t forget that you’re more than welcome to start your own discussions and ask any burning questions you might have. Oh, and any feedback will help us a great deal. We’re still pretty new to this… =)

Starting soon, we’ll be posting all discussion replies from the Facebook group, as well as entries by email, on this website.

If you subscribe by email or RSS feed (see the right panel of the website), you’ll get the replies as soon as they’re up on the website.

If anyone who participates in the discussions has any objections to this, let us know. (Only first names will be used… Or “Anonymous”, or your full name, whichever you prefer. Initially, as the relies are posted, we’ll stick to first names…)

First of all, thank you to all 61 of you for joining Existential Questions.

Now, it’s time to take the next step by joining the discussions. There are 9 topics on the Discussion Board, as well as 2 polls.

If any of these interest you, do share your thoughts with everyone else. Your answer may be a short answer, even just one word, or a full essay. Anything between the two extremes is obviously welcome…

Now although I never suffered through IB TOK, those of you who did should have a lot to offer to this group. There’s a twist though. This is more versatile, more fun, and more passionate. Think of it as a combination of TOK, debate team, and social studies… Hell, throw some MUN in there while we’re at it… It’s high school all over again, without the grades and boring stuff…
